SOPHIE
Director and Lead Speech Pathologist
Sophie is a Certified Practicing Member (CPSP) of Speech Pathology Australia and brings 10 years of experience to the Hillside Paediatric Team.
Sophie has worked across many different settings including health, education and not-for-profit organisations. Sophie began her career working in regional South Australia before moving back to Adelaide where she strengthened her skills working with children who are d/Deaf, Hard of Hearing, blind or low vision.
Sophie is passionate about working with parents and caregivers to embed language strategies within their everyday routines and activities to support their child’s development. Sophie has an interest in working with children with complex communication needs and utilising Alternative and Augmentative Communication to support children to reach their individual potential.

STEPH
Steph is a registered Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with over 9 years of clinical experience.
Steph has worked across various settings including public health and private rehabilitation. Steph graduated from Flinders University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy initially working in regional South Australia. Steph has clinical experience working with clients through the ages including those with recent hospital admissions, neurological diversity, lower limb amputations, traumatic and acquired brain injuries, orthopaedic injuries (i.e. fractured hips), and generalised conditions which impact their ability to engage in Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Steph has experience in ADL retraining to support clients to reach maximum independence and access assistance. Most recently, Steph has been working in the private sector with clients who have sustained an injury (physical and/or psychological) in the workplace and are undertaking rehabilitation to return to the workforce.
Steph is driven to support clients of all ages and will work collaboratively with the individuals team and support people to help them achieve their goals and maintain their safety.
Steph is ready to support clients through the ages whether they are school based, working/unable to work or retired.
